1. Services, books, and courses

TechIT Europe offers the following through this website:

  • Advisory and consulting services — cybersecurity, digital ethics, GDPR and NIS2 compliance, digital footprint audits, and related professional services, delivered remotely or in person by agreement.
  • Digital books — downloadable publications on cybersecurity, digital ethics, AI responsibility, and related topics, sold through third-party platforms (Amazon and equivalents) or directly.
  • Educational courses — online courses on digital protection, ethical AI use, and cyber hygiene, delivered via this website or third-party platforms as specified at point of sale.

Descriptions of services, books, and courses are provided for informational purposes. We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or update any offering at any time. We will notify existing clients of material changes to agreed engagements.

2. Enquiries and engagement

Submitting an enquiry through this website does not constitute a binding contract. A contract for advisory services is formed only when both parties have agreed in writing to the scope, terms, and fees of a specific engagement. These Terms apply in the absence of a more specific written agreement.

3. Prices and payment

Prices for services, books, and courses are stated at the point of purchase or in a written proposal. All prices are in euros unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes are the responsibility of the purchaser in accordance with the laws of their jurisdiction.

Payment terms for advisory services are specified in the engagement proposal. Digital books and courses must be paid in full before access is granted.

4. Cancellation and refund policy

4.1 Advisory services

You may cancel an advisory engagement before work has commenced for a full refund. Once work has commenced, you will be invoiced proportionally for the work completed up to the date of cancellation.

4.2 Digital books

Due to the nature of digital products, purchases of digital books are non-refundable once the download or access link has been delivered, unless the file is defective or inaccessible. In such cases, contact us within 7 days of purchase.

4.3 Educational courses

You have the right to withdraw from a course purchase within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not yet accessed the course materials. If you have accessed the materials, the right of withdrawal does not apply. To exercise this right, notify us at contact@maschiettoadvisory.com within the 14-day period. Refunds will be processed within 14 days using the original payment method.

4.4 Consumer rights under EU law

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, your statutory rights under EU consumer protection law apply in addition to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes rights that cannot be excluded by law.

5. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, course materials, and publications, is the intellectual property of Eduardo Maschietto or used with permission. All rights are reserved.

Purchasing a digital book or course grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use that content for your own purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, share, resell, or publicly display any purchased content without prior written permission.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Content on this website is provided for general informational purposes. Nothing on this website constitutes legal, financial, or regulatory advice. Advisory services constitute professional opinions based on the information provided; they do not guarantee specific outcomes or legal compliance in any particular jurisdiction without independent legal review.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Eduardo Maschietto and TechIT Europe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or any products or services obtained through it. Our total liability for any claim arising from a specific engagement shall not exceed the fees paid for that engagement.

7. Third-party links and platforms

This website may contain links to third-party platforms (including Amazon and course hosting platforms). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those platforms. Transactions completed on third-party platforms are governed by their own terms.

8. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

9. Responsible use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use this website to transmit malicious software, collect data by automated means, or engage in any activity that disrupts the availability or security of the site.

10. Intellectual property — submissions

Do not submit ideas, inventions, or proprietary materials you wish to protect unless we have first signed a non-disclosure or intellectual property agreement. Unsolicited submissions may be used freely by us.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes affecting active engagements, we will notify you directly.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of this website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Italy, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence within the European Union.
